Vive la France: wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG expands its French portfolio. The Bremen-based company takes on the operations management for the six new wind farms Roisel II, Tigné, Dizy, Mont du Saule, Clussais and Tiper with 26 wind turbines and a total capacity of 57 Megawatt – among them 18 Enercon and eight Vestas turbines. Four of the six wind farms have already been put into operation, Clussais and Tiper will follow at the beginning of 2018. “France is one of our main target markets”, explains Nils Brümmer, managing director of wpd windmanager. “With our office in Arras our points of contact are well networked and thus ensure optimum operation.” By now, the company from Bremen has 15 employees in Arras and accounts for 25 wind farms with 151 wind turbines and a total capacity of 315 MW.
Operations Manager Concludes Contracts for further 26 Wind Turbines with 57 MW
The international markets are getting more and more important for wpd windmanager. “Considering the current tender process in Germany, the domestic projects become difficult to realize”, explains Brümmer. “Thus, we focus on other markets to strengthen our international growth.” Just recently, wpd windmanager took on the operations management for three project in Finland and for one in Poland. Furthermore, the Bremen-based company plans to expand its activities in Taiwan.
