During the Wind Energy Days 2017, www.windmanager.de has been honored as one of the best websites in the wind energy sector. From among the 37 competitors, wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG reached an excellent second rank with their online presentation, coming in as the best operations manager of the wind sector. The jury only awarded a better overall assessment to the Swiss financing platform Greenmatch. Energy Consult, based in Cuxhaven, came in at third place.
Decisive factors for the windmanager award were, among others, the up-to-date content, clarity, build-up and the responsive design. Also, the tied-in extranet, where investors are able to follow up on all information concerning their wind farm investment, was met with a very positive echo. In the context of the new tender processes and stagnant national projects, the international direction of the website has also been highlighted. Following the launch of the French site, windmanager is now to be found in the world wide web in three languages.
The Wind Website Award is being awarded every year by the portal www.wind-turbine.com. In addition to managing director Bernd Weidmann, an expert panel, consisting of ten industry experts and editors-in-chief, are evaluating the applications. Among the members of the jury are Dr. Volker Buddensiek of Sonne Wind Wärme and Nicole Weinhold of Erneuerbare Energien.
