Privacy notice for visitors to our control room in accordance with art. 13 of the general data protection regulation (GDPR)

Compliance with data protection regulations is a high priority for us. In the following, we would like to inform you about the collection and processing of your personal data when you register to visit our control room.

Controller

wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for data processing.

Purposes and legal basis of data processing

As part of a visit to our control center, visitors are asked to register using a digital contact form. The data collected is stored in a digital visitor book with restricted access.

We process your data exclusively to ensure the security of our control center. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in the security of our site and the protection of domiciliary rights. The provision of your personal data is not a legal requirement but is necessary to ensure security. This means that you are not legally obliged to provide us with your personal data. If you decide not to provide us with your personal data, you will not be able to enter our control room.

For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

  • Academic degree as voluntary information
  • First name and surname
  • Email address
  • Reason for the visit to our control center
  • Log data (logins and logouts: date, time, IP address)

Recipients of your personal data

We do not transfer your data to third parties. Your data will only be passed on if it is intended to be transferred, if you have expressly consented to the transfer in advance or if we are obliged or entitled to do so by law. As a general rule, your data will not be transferred to other parties outside the EU or the EEA.

Retention period

Personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes or as long as there are legal or contractual retention obligations. The data collected from visitors is routinely deleted after 24 months.

Your rights

Data subjects have the right to obtain information from the controller about the personal data concerning them and to have incorrect data corrected or deleted if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued. There is also the right to restriction of processing if one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 GDPR applies and, in the cases of Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability. If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (data processing to fulfill official tasks or to protect the public interest) or lit. f (data processing to safeguard legitimate interests), the data subject has the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from their particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if he or she considers that the processing of data relating to him or her infringes data protection regulations. The right to lodge a complaint may be exercised in particular with a supervisory authority in the Member State of the data subject’s habitual residence or place of the alleged infringement.
